Last Month's Dinner Summary
January:

Dinner was held at the
Sterle’s Country House

The association again went to Sterle’s Country House on East 55th for a family style dinner of wienerschnitzel, roast pork, and chicken breasts, with soup, salad, potatoes/rice and dessert WOW! A good time was had by all, even though there had been some snow. Even JB Brown and wife came all the way in from Amherst!

The female door prizes were boxes of all occasion cards. Cathy Owen had a good night and won both the Legal Beagle prize of a bunch of refrigerator magnets, and the 50/50.

SPECIAL ALERT!

CPOA wants all to know that besides those currently mobilized in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (YNC Mike Pudloski, OSC Tim Malis, CMC George Raby and HTC Dave Kallas) OSC Tom Judd and LSC (formerly PCC) Rob Erb are on the short-list to go. Also, at the present time, BMC Eric Palker and BMC Chris Shell are mobilized to Haiti. They’ve been opening ports and moving cargo into the devastated island. Good Job and Bravo Zulu to all.

Thanks to all who could attend.
Your presence made it a success. It's always great to get together!

50/50 raffle winner: Cathy Owen for $48.50

THE LEGAL BEAGLE WANTS TO KNOW

Rules are the same as they always have been:
1) First person with the most correct answers wins.
2) Duplicate prizes will not be awarded because there are none!
Decisions and answers of the Legal Beagle are final, since I do all the research.
February's questions:

1. What do Sailors and sweethearts have in common? Hint: something to do with gems. This one is pretty hard.
2. What happened on Valentine’s Day 1778 that was important to the Navy?
3. Dating back to the 1850’s, what was a Sailor’s Valentine?
4. Here’s a love poser for you: We all know the triangle of Popeye, Olive Oyl and Brutus, but who was Olive’s first boyfriend?
5. Who played the starring roles (male and female) in the 1955 movie about a colony of Sicilian fisherfolk in The Rose Tattoo?
